Spirit remains

I wrote this last Imbolc as a part of my annual divination. I struggle with the current state of the world but have hope in Spirit.

“The world turns, the seasons move, the cycle continues

Civilizations rise and fall but Spirit remains

Hardship leads to strength, strength leads to wealth, wealth leads to weakness, weakness leads to folly, folly to destruction

and the cycle continues

Continue on I say, Spirit will remain

Can Spirit overcome, can Spirit break the cycle, can Spirit manifest in this world

Death, destruction, delusion, despair

Health, wholeness and hope

Can the physical manifest the spiritual

Does the Wave reach the beach, does the mountain reach the sky

Can the tribes unite, can the people rise up, can we avoid destruction, can we celebrate life

Avoid the trappings of wealth, vice, technology

Seek out community, hospitality and health

Find balance, manifest Spirit, end destructive cycles”
